Overview
Welcome to the redesign project for Discover Feed, a pivotal dashboard in the fight against video piracy.
This dashboard serves as a central hub for tracking and managing video content across various platforms, empowering content owners and distributors to combat unauthorized usage effectively.
What is the Discover Feed?
Discover Feed is a dynamic dashboard designed to detect and manage instances of video piracy swiftly.
It aggregates data from multiple sources, providing users with a comprehensive view of detected copies of video references alongside relevant metadata.

Who are our users?
Customers
Customers utilize Discover Feed for gaining insights into specific assets, obtaining an overview of detected copies.
Operations Team
The team relies on the Discover Feed for executing multiple tasks related to content protection and media tracking services.
The Problem
Discover Feed has user pain points that disrupt workflow efficiency and complicate real-time decision-making.
Old Version

Missing the full picture
The current setup leaves users navigating between different tabs without clear indicators of incoming results, leading to potential oversight.
Inflexible outdated UI
The static interface wastes valuable screen real estate and doesn't adapt well to modern screen dimensions, hindering efficient information display.
Non-intuitive statuses
Video copy statuses are indicated by colored triangles, yet there is no legend to clarify each color's meaning.
Filter inefficiency
Constant toggling between tabs disrupts the flow, particularly during live anti-piracy sessions, where quick actions are crucial.
Make it simple,
but significant
Our Goal
Our primary objective is to redesign the Discover Feed to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in combating video piracy. By addressing usability issues and streamlining workflows, we aim to reduce time spent online and minimize the risk of oversight.

Customer Version
Customers can view the sessions live and respond to results for review in real-time through the Discover Feed.
The Discover Feed Redesign

The Filter: Constantly visible and no longer blocks the visual flow.
Notifications: When a new video has been added to the asset, the user can easily find the video and take action accordingly.
Form autofill requests: Removing need for multiple excel sheets with DMCA form details.
Integration with crawler data: The user can now see the DataDog crawlers alongside the Discover Feed rather than needing to change tabs.
Visible Tabs: The user can now choose the asset tab they wish to view.
Action Hierarchy: The number of steps for common actions has been lowered significantly.
